ABOUT US

In 1996 while stationed at Edwards AFB in California I was interested in starting my own business. That business was called "The R/C Connection" and was based on a hobby that I had enjoyed for about 12 years at that point. That hobby was of coarse radio controlled vehicles. Before I could build a business I needed to have a better understand how a small business worked so I took on a part time job at "The Kite Ranch". There I not only learned how a small business operated (thanks to the gracious teachings by the owner Jon) but I also picked a new hobby, flying stunt kites. I ended up running the R/C business for about 6 years after that but was forced to give it up due to my military career. During that time however I was still flying stunt kites, mostly power kites. Once I retired from the Air Force I still had a desire to own my own business but decided to go off to college. Once finished with school I was still longing to be an entrepreneur. That's how Windy Day Kites came into being. I really enjoy sharing my hobbies with others and helping them to discover something that brings them enjoyment. Selling kites helps me do that! In summary: We are a family owned and operated business that was developed out of a kite flying hobby.  ~ Greg ~
